Kao Hsiung Cultural Center

The Kao Hsiung Cultural Center located in Kao Hsiung, Taiwan acts as both a community gathering place as well as a performing arts center. Birket provided the rigging controls for both the large theater (A) and the small theater (B).

Birket Engineering’s Rigging Control System is responsible for the control of:

Large Theater A:
(1) Fly winch for main act curtain - Variable speed motor.
(1) Main act curtain - Fixed speed motor.
(5) Direct lift winches - Fixed speed motors.
(1) Projection screen - Fixed speed motor.
(4) Winches for orchestra shell ceiling - Fixed speed motors.
(4) Orchestra ceiling tilt - Fixed speed gear motors.
All winches have full voltage reversing starters and position control rotary limit switches. Control stations consist of UP, DOWN, STOP pushbuttons.

Small Theater B:
(1) Fly winch for main act curtain - Variable speed motor.
(1) Main act curtain - Fixed speed motor.
(4) Direct lift winches - Fixed speed motors.
(1) Winch for orchestra rear wall - Fixed speed motor.
(2) Winches for orchestra shell ceiling - Fixed speed motors.
(2) Orchestra ceiling tilt - Fixed speed gear motors.
