Ione B. Auer Concert Hall

The generous second floor lobby of the Indiana University’s School of Music’s Hulman Center leads into the 400-seat Ione B. Auer Concert Hall. The rectangular hall features side terraces and a beamed, coffered ceiling. Colorful hanging banners can be retracted into the ceiling beams and walls to provide variable acoustics for all types of musical ensembles.

Birket Engineering’s Rigging Control System is responsible for the control of nine-winch fixed speed motors with full voltage reversing starters with external overload reset buttons. Winches operate in response to a microprocessor-based positioning control system.
